Chultural Chriticism With Christina
'Sup. This class is all about noodling around this thing we call CULTURE, which includes, but is not limited to: music, art, movies, books, video games, buildings, shoes, ourselves, other people, that thing on TikTok last week, that thing that happened centuries ago, the curve of an actor's lip, ice cream, etc.
We're going to write about things we love and things we hate and we're going to pull from any genre or body of knowledge we want in order to do it. We will do our best to write our opinions and feelies and believe-ies with conviction. We will talk shit in good faith. If we can't put our finger on it, we will write about the finger. There will be in-class writing exercises, group discussion, and recommended readings to help our sentences crackle with meaning.
You will leave with a deeper understanding of your own relationship to culture, tools for unspooling your thinking on the page, and piles of ideas to develop.
We read, we write, we have a lot of fun.
ost is $400 for four weeks of readings, class discussions, and writing exercises
All classes take place on ZOOM:
